I note that the port is marked as open-maintainer: anyone is welcome to submit PRs! What's more, as Macports is volunteer-driven, stepping in to provide an update for a port you are using can be quite helpful.

For instance, I've been traveling for work, and have only just had time to update the port (link below).

By the way, you ask: "please let us know so a new maintainer can take over." Who's the "us" you're referring to? Additionally, I'm happy to add new volunteers to the port/project if they've got time to spare.

Andrew, thank you for posting the update. I have another port I maintain and I was asking this question to see if you were OK with others submitting updates. In my years of time on various OS projects, one can never be sure how a maintainer will respond to someone else coming in and working on a piece they maintain.

"Us" is myself and anyone else who has an interest in the yarn port.

Thanks again for your efforts and time! Yarn is a great tool, and MacPorts is a great place to access it.
