Cannot edit ntfs-3g in MacOS Catalina

When I try to do this command,

sudo mv /sbin/mount_ntfs /sbin/mount_ntfs.orig

I get this error.

mv: rename /sbin/mount_ntfs to /sbin/mount_ntfs.orig: Read-only file system

This has nothing to do with MacPorts; read up on SIP.

I am aware of SIP. I have disabled it and I still get the same error. On Mojave, I didn't have to disable SIP at all.

I have been informed that this issue is probably due to the fact that the root system on Catalina cannot be a modified by users anymore.

Makes me wonder if there is a workaround.
