Description
Please patch gdal to use pkg-config, rather than xml2-config, to find libxml2, so that gdal does not end up overlinked to libxml2's dependencies. See https://lists.macports.org/pipermail/macports-dev/2019-October/041397.html for more info.

It looks like this was fixed upstream in gdal 3.1.0 to use pkg-config. Therefore no patch should be needed for gdal 3.1.0 forward.
