Description
I just recently installed inkscape 0.92.4 on a Mid-2012 MacBook Pro with Mac High Sierra 10.13.6. I attempted to test a couple of the extensions from the Extensions menu. After I press Apply, I get the following dialog box:
The fantastic lxml wrapper for libxml2 is required by inkex.py and therefore this extension. Please download and install the latest version from http://cheeseshop.python.org/pypi/lxml/, or install it through your package manager by a command like: sudo apt-get install python-lxml
Technical details: No module named lxml
I'm not sure what Inkscape is looking for--the fantastic lxml wrapper, lxml itself, a particular version of Python, or something else. I did a search with the "port installed" command and found these:
Active Python versions:
python27 @2.7.17_0 (active)
python36 @3.6.10_0 (active)
python37 @3.7.6_0 (active)
Active python-lxml versions:
py27-lxml @4.4.1_0 (active)
py36-lxml @4.4.1_0 (active)
This is the system Python version, I think (reported via python --version)
Python 2.7.14
