We aren't the developers of kerberos and we don't want to become kerberos developers or maintain patches like this forever; changes like this need to be vetted by the developers of kerberos before being included in MacPorts.
OK. Please close this ticket.

We should not close the ticket until the problem has been solved.

The problem was probably solved by commit c6d702d. In any case, kerberos5 and libressl compatibility is available with a current patch. This ticket may be closed.

Did you get this patch from the developers of kerberos or did you get it somewhere else? Or did you make it yourself?
If you made it or got it from somewhere else, can you report it to the developers of kerberos, please?
