Description
It works to build the recent version with Perl 5.30. It might work, but I have no idea how to test this. I am thinking of rebuilding and installing it on another Mac, with x86_64 architecture. Anyway, this port should offer an option to build a Perl 5.30 based variant in order to get rid of Perl 5.28.

On High Sierra I can experiment in a quite modern environment. After having upgraded some requisites
texlive-bin-extra
was installed (after having it uninstalled). Some utilities were already used to finish the installation (successfully). Manually I could work successfully with texdoc. Many other utilities in this port are meant mostly for very special purposes. The handful utilities I tested ran es expected.
