stack: downloads both source and binary?

It looks like the stack port downloads both a source distfile and a precompiled binary distfile and then, depending on whether the +prebuilt variant is selected, uses one or the other of them. Is that right? If so, it should be changed so that it only downloads the distfile it needs, depending on the variant.
