Description

avidemux with default variants on macos-10.6.8 has multiple compile errors: 

  6 * error: expected unqualified-id
  1 * error: no member named 'ptrdiff_t' in the global namespace
  12 * error: unknown type name 'mbstate_t'; did you mean '__mbstate_t'?

  Mac OS X 10.6 (darwin/10.8.0) arch i386
  MacPorts 2.6.4
  Xcode 3.2.6
  SDK 10.6

Avidemux has now been updated to 2.7.6 but is failing on the 10.6 buildbots (both i386 & x86_64) with a message that "C compiler test failed. Investigating.

I'm experiencing similar errors on Big Sur, too (after rev-upgrade decided to try to rebuild it after a libvpx update broke the +vpx variant)

I'm no longer using avidemux and have very limited time in the near future so I'm taking myself off as owner of this issue. Hopefully someone else can step up.

Let's call it a duplicate of #65098. I assume that the errors seen after expected unqualified-id are caused by the expected unqualified-id error.
