Trying to install recoll on MacBook Pro m1 I get next error: 

Error: Failed to fetch python37: python37 cannot yet be built for Apple Silicon
Error: See /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_macports_release_tarballs_ports_lang_python37/python37/main.log for details.

Indeed, python 3.7 does not work on Apple Silicon, in fact only 3.9 has proper support (upstream has not yet backported the fixes to 3.8). If recoll can use a newer python version, that would be recommended.
