Description
I tried installing texlive +basic +letter
and got this error during the activate phase:
:debug:activate system: texconfig-sys paper letter :info:activate sh: texconfig-sys: command not found :info:activate Command failed: texconfig-sys paper letter
After some investigating and trial and error, I found that texconfig-sys
is provided by texlive-bin-extra, so installing that first resolved the problem. So, should the letter
variant add that as a dependency? Or have the letter
variant require the medium
variant (which does have texlive-bin-extra as a dependency)?

Or maybe just remove the
letter
variant and suggest the letter-setting config command in a note?
