Description
This is a new meta-port for the GNOME language bindings and 4 supporting meta-ports. I am submitting them for peer review before placing them in CVS.
The meta-port includes the packages required for building C++, C#, Perl, and Python applications with the GNOME development platform. It works by depending on a language-specific gnome-bindings port. These ports are intended mostly to allow porters to include a simple dependency statement, so that when the GNOME platform changes, not all applications based upon the platform need to be updated, only the requisite meta-ports.
NB: Not all GNOME bindings packages have been ported. See below for each language: C++: all bindings packages are ported and current C#: all bindings packages are ported but only about half are current Java: no bindings packages have been ported Perl: not all bindings packages have been ported and the ported packages are beginning to age Python: not all bindings packages have been ported and the ported packages are beginning to age
