Description
This is a request to update pandoc to the latest version (currently 2.11.4).
This is one of those unfortunate situations where the project website recommends Homebrew and the MacPorts version tends to be out of date.

Ports only get updated when someone updates them. Anybody can submit a pull request to update a port.
I know this, and I do contribute to MacPorts where I can. However, pandoc requires Haskell, which I am not at all familiar with, and seems to be problematic to build. I do not dare touch it.

Ports only get updated when someone updates them. Anybody can submit a pull request to update a port.
Pandoc has no maintainer so nobody looks after its updates. Anyone can volunteer to maintain a port. So far nobody has.
