Description (last modified by marc-brouard)
When installing GIT through Macports on a clean install of both Macports and the OS, Mac OS 11 Big Sur. I am having problems with the internet completely locking up. The dependancy is p5.28-mozilla-ca. I have tried installing it separatly and get the same result.

Warning: You can install it as part of the Xcode Command Line Tools package by running `xcode-select --install'. ---> Computing dependencies for p5.28-mozilla-ca ---> Fetching archive for p5.28-mozilla-ca ---> Attempting to fetch p5.28-mozilla-ca-20200520_0.darwin_20.noarch.tbz2 from https://mse.uk.packages.macports.org/p5.28-mozilla-ca ---> Attempting to fetch p5.28-mozilla-ca-20200520_0.darwin_20.noarch.tbz2 from https://lil.fr.packages.macports.org/p5.28-mozilla-ca ---> Attempting to fetch p5.28-mozilla-ca-20200520_0.darwin_20.noarch.tbz2 from https://cph.dk.packages.macports.org/p5.28-mozilla-ca ---> Fetching distfiles for p5.28-mozilla-ca
It is really weird that I can not access the internet after running the above. I do have little snitch installed, but that is not complaining and I have tried with little snitch turned off, and had the same result.
Any ideas about how to investigate this further would be appreciated
kind regards M

Duplicate of #61683. Note that the kernel panic may have been fixed in an update, but the remoted hang that triggered the panic seems not to have been, and still results in no internet connection when it happens.
This is now is working. Did not do anything different
