is not working in Kile.
- Launch Kile
- Attempt "replace" via 1) or 2) above
i) Enter "Search" String. Ok.
ii) Type first letter of "Replace" string, and:
- (Mac) Pinwheel starts and goes and goes and goes...

I am not certain it is a BigSur-specific problem, but I indeed cannot reproduce that issue on my system (10.15.7).
It is just a guess, but if indeed the freeze happens even before initiating a search of a replace, this might be more of an interface problem than in the actual Kile code, considering that there is no automatic search to my knowledge.
