I cleaned and uninstalled EMBOSS. Attempt to install failed.

It works for me. Make sure you sudo port selfupdate
before you try again.

Great! Remember that you always need to sudo port selfupdate
or sudo port sync
to receive fixes, and that it takes about an hour for fixes to go from our repository to the rsync server, so you should wait at least that long after a fix before trying it.
