libgcc-devel, fail to build in BigSur 11.2 by (11_arm64) :info:build Bootstrap comparison failure!

I have no idea for this error. This took for almost 1hr to build "libgcc-devel" with 100% CPUs (8 cores Full running). Please try to solve this, if somebody has interest on it. Thanks.

We see these bootstrap comparison errors sometimes. They can often disappear when you build the port again.

Please do this (overnight if you like :>).

sudo port clean libgcc-devel
sudo port -v install libgcc-devel

and see if that "just works" to fix it, please.

There is no arm64 buildbot just now, so we can't compare you to our reference platform, but (so far) no other reports of this.

Yes -- building compilers is about as hard as a computer will ever work. It is very challenging on the system!

I'm going to close this as this bootstrap comparison failure is a spurious error that shows up unpredictably. Certainly, it's an error, just not something we can (seem to) permanently fix. I don't think it is a MacPorts error.

If we get repeated tickets about it, we'll have to see ... glad you got working.
