No maintainer activity since submitting this port in 2009 (#21203). Port has been updated and improved several times since then.

I have no interest in this port. I am going along with what https://guide.macports.org/chunked/project.update-policies.html#project.update-policies.abandonment says to do, since I haven’t noticed anything that I would argue allows skipping it in this case (such as a nonexistent MX record for the maintainer’s email address domain).

I never really understand the purpose of this type of tickets. Is it that you are interested in becoming the maintainer; if so, just open a PR to indicate that. The only other outcome of a ticket like this is to wait for a few days/weeks and if the maintainer doesn't answer to change this port to
nomaintainer
; how does that help for any practical purpose?
