I am amazed that the php80-imagick port does not exist yet. Is PHP 8 incompatible with imagick ?

If you'd like more info about the situation you can read the extensive upstream issue: https://github.com/Imagick/imagick/issues/358. You can subscribe to that issue if you want status updates.

Yes. We cannot offer a php80-imagick port until the imagick module becomes compatible with php 8 and later. See https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=80464.
All of our php modules that are php 8-compatible are already offered in php80 versions.
