The xv port has no maintainer; please contribute a fix if you can.
xv is old software that hasn't been updated in many years. Meanwhile its dependency jasper is still being developed and was updated to a new version 6 days ago. Maybe xv is not compatible with changes made in jasper. (The error message relates to jasper.) Maybe we need to patch something. Maybe other package managers have already done so. If you can work out what needs to be done, let us know.
