Description
autoconf -o configure.sh make: autoconf: No such file or directory
The port is patching configure.ac and running ./prepare-source but is not instructing MacPorts to add the autoconf dependencies.

Looks like it was actually fixed in [adaee41cb4406e719f4e093723e25f657379f07c/macports-ports].

But if anyone could provide suggestions for issue:63669, I'd appreciate it. Should be able to solve on my own, but perhaps I'm simply over-thinking it...

This was done as a quick-and-dirty attempt to fix related to Big Sur. It was reverted soon after, in a subsequent commit.
