Description
The master site "http://www.cnds.jhu.edu/download/noformdown/" is not accessible: --> "you don't have permission to access '/download/noformdown/' "
I connected to the site "http://www.spread.org/download.html" and found a link to "http://www.cnds.jhu.edu/download/download_spread.cgi". This form requires you to enter something in the Name, Company and Email fields. After submission of the form data the download starts, and the temporary download address has been "http://www.cnds.jhu.edu/download/spread-src-3.17.3.tar.gz?FILE=spread-src -3.17.3.tar.gz&perm=1136816439". I tried to repeat the download without changing the form data and got almost the same download address, but the last four digits have changed towards a greater number.
I managed to install "spread" in my darwinports tree, but this is a bit complicated, because I had to edit the portfile:
master_sites file:///path/to/compressed/file/spread-3.17.3.tar.gz
After that I could install "spread" without additional problems.

I did not expect such an immediate reply to my report ...
I made an error in my comment. I edited the portfile this way:
master_sites file:///path/to/compressed/file/

No worries -- I've already sent a note to my contact at the Spread group (Jonathan Stanton) asking what's going on. As soon as I get a reply, I'll make the appropriate changes to the Portfile and post them up. If I don't get a reply within a couple of days, I'll try the main Spread info address again.
Cheers!

According to an email I just received from Jonathan Stanton, some files/directories on the web server got reorganized and the path to /nodownload got blown up temporarily. He said that it has been fixed and I verified that a clean install of spread works right now (in particular, the file gets downloaded and the checksum is right), so I'm going to close this bug. Cheers! Andre
They must have changed the nodownload URL. I will get back in touch with them to find out what happened.
