Description (last modified by ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt))
Hi,
I'm new to macports, but follow the instruction for installing HomeBank port. On the HomeBank page it says to run X11, but my MACOS is no t compatible with it, I think.
System:
MacMini M1 2020
MACOS Monterrey 12.2
I installed:
Xcode 13.2.1
Command lines for Xcode 13.2
MacPorts Monterrey version
then:
sudo port install homebank sudo port selfupdate && sudo port upgrade homebank
Terminal finishes, if I type on terminal HomeBank it gives me this:
(homebank:63274): Gtk-WARNING **: 17:32:48.123: cannot open display:
Reading at the Homebank web, http://homebank.free.fr/en/troubleshooting.php#macinstall the instructions are for a older MacOS. Am I missing something? Any help appreciated.

cannot open display
means it couldn't find your X server. If properly installing an X server does not solve the problem, please reopen the ticket.
Note: See
TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
If you're using the x11 variant of gtk3 (which is the default variant), then you do indeed need to run an X server, usually installed either with the xorg-server port or from the Xquartz site.
