py39-gobject3 fails to configure on Rosetta: ERROR: Include dir /opt/local/share/gobject-introspection-1.0/tests does not exist

Configuring config.h using configuration
Configuring pygobject-3.0.pc using configuration
Configuring PyGObject-3.42.0.egg-info using configuration
Compiler for C supports arguments -fvisibility=hidden: YES (cached)

tests/meson.build:27:2: ERROR: Include dir /opt/local/share/gobject-introspection-1.0/tests does not exist.

Indeed there is no such directory. However the latest gobject-introspection port is installed: 

macmini:~ svacchanda$ port -v installed gobject-introspection
The following ports are currently installed:

The problem still persists, both when using meson 0.63.3 and the latest 0.64.1.
