Description
Displayplacer (https://github.com/jakehilborn/displayplacer/) appears to be a commandline tool to control the arrangement of monitors on a macOS system. It would be nice to have it available as a port.
It is distributed under the MIT licence. The most recent release, 1.2.0 (https://github.com/jakehilborn/displayplacer/releases/tag/v1.2.0) has sources available as a .tar.gz or a .zip from GitHub.
Caveat: I have not yet run the software, so maybe it does not work. This ticket is partly a placeholder for gathering comments and wishes. Also, the developer does not appear to be active in the repo since about 2019.
That project has an issue, Make available via MacPorts (https://github.com/jakehilborn/displayplacer/issues/70). I will link to this ticket from that issue.

This needs to install the LICENSE file in order to comply with the license.
Thanks for the suggestion!
