The 1.1.0 version as used by the py27 and py35 subports does not indeed contain a LICENSE file.

The issue must have been introduced when the port was changed to use the distfiles from PyPI in [ecad85408e2baf1f61bbdcc74c9a09b22d9e899f/macports-ports].

py27-matplotlib shows a successful build on 10.7 at 2021-06-21 20:58:19, and py27-kiwisolver is a dependency
