for the moment I am unable to install python27 manually. See ticket #65681

all have gone with resolution of ticket #65681
python27 is not needed and not installed please close theticket
curious because I have reinstalled from scratch
rm -r /opt/local
installed macport and installed
AtomicParsley @0.9.0_1 exiftool @12.440.0_0+perl5_34 ffmpeg @4.4.2_2+darwinssl+gpl2+gpl3+jack+libdc1394+librtmp+nonfree+x11 inetutils @2.3_0+client
the first problem appeared with inetutils

TBH it looks like some or all of the contents of /Applications/MacPorts/Python 2.7
was somehow deleted after it was installed. Deactivating and activating python27 should bring it back.
