Trace mode is known to break things sometimes (which is one of the reasons why it's not on by default), and also tends to be broken by new OS versions.

the issue appears to be 122 :debug:archivefetch Fetching archive failed: The requested URL returned error: 404
. I doubt that has anything to do with the extract phase or trace-mode. There is however a problem with trace-mode, which is ticket 66358.

I ran 'port install' again without the -t option, as I did on the first run. This run also failed with an error. I have attached the log file of this run.

The log contains:
:info:build Please ensure Xcode packages are up-to-date — try running 'xcodebuild -runFirstLaunch'.
Have you done this?

it worked with that. Oddly enough, some other module (as dependencies) have been created successfully before. Anyway, maybe you should put a note in the setup FAQ. Thanks a lot!
