There is a guide to updating ports at wiki:howto/Upgrade
Unfortunately I tried myself and it failed. meson.build:52:26: ERROR: Dependency "gtk-mac-integration-gtk3" not found, tried pkgconfig, framework and cmake
If you're able to find a way around that you might have better luck.
