This is not as easy as it might seem at first glance. For example, Blender tends to be quite flexible with which versions of its dependencies, including Embree, it links to. However, Godot, even in the latest version, still depends on Embree 3. I am currently working on updating both the Godot and Blender ports to their newest versions; at that time, I might be able experiment whether I can simply update the Embree port to the newest 4.x, or whether I would need to split off an
embree3
subport to maintain compatibility with Godot.
