Description
The creator and maintainer of the speedtest.net website now offers CLI software of their own to interact with the site. See https://www.speedtest.net/apps/cli
Might it be a good idea to transition to this new piece of software or is there anything preventing that?

Oh yeah, you're right, the version by ookla doesn't seem to be open source.

We'd need the source code which I don't see off hand on that site. I don't see anything on the old site saying it is discontinued; just no updates in 2 years.
