#68986 assigned defect

Yabai 6.01 not working on Sonoma 14.2.x Silicon

Reported by: sitrucz1 (Curtis Matz) Owned by: TheKevJames (Kevin James)
Priority: Normal Milestone:
Component: ports Version: 2.8.1
Keywords: Cc: sitrucz1 (Curtis Matz)
Port: yabai

Description

I get "scripting-addition payload (0x3c) doesn't support this macOS version". I've signed the executable and added a visudo line with the correct sha256 hash, and sip is disabled. When I try to run: "yabai -m window --focus west" I get this error. Also, when it switches I see the menubar change to the application but it never really focuses (the red, yellow, and green icons) never highlight. Yabai has been added to Accessibility.

yabai 6.2 portfile update

comment:3 Changed 10 months ago by sitrucz1 (Curtis Matz)

I downloaded the release version and am successfully using yabai. I did some testing and compiled locally, signed it, updated visudo, and successfully used that version as well. I created a local ports repo using a sparse checkout for yabai only and configured macports to read from there. I updated the portfile for 6.2 and installed it. But, after signing and doing the visudo change it still doesn't work properly. Here's my patch below. My patch is attached. Let me know if I can do any testing for you.
