Too many dependencies when building ports from source

Description
MacPorts is perfectly happy to build a port from source:
% sudo port -y destr spice-server ---> Computing dependencies for spice-server For spice-server: skipping org.macports.main (dry run)
But if I explicitly ask it to build from source, it adds in more dependencies that I shouldn't need:
% sudo port -ys destr spice-server For cmake-bootstrap: skipping org.macports.main (dry run) ---> Computing dependencies for xorg-util-macros For xorg-util-macros: skipping org.macports.main (dry run) ---> Computing dependencies for xorg-xtrans For xorg-xtrans: skipping org.macports.main (dry run) ---> Computing dependencies for py311-mako For py311-mako: skipping org.macports.main (dry run) ---> Computing dependencies for spice-server For spice-server: skipping org.macports.main (dry run)
