Description
Hi,
I hope the 'gcl' port could have a new variant called cltl1
, which deletes the configure option --enable-ansi
and then append --disable-ansi
.
At least two legacy software (AXIOM and hol88), without non-trivial modifications, can only be built with GCL in this non-ANSI mode.
I could have just built GCL in my own machine, or use port edit
to change the port definition for my need. However, due to unknown reasons, GCL crashed when I try to rebuild the port in my own machine (perhaps it's because it's a virtual machine instead of physical one).
Regards,
Chun TIAN

NOTE: In the Debian package 'gcl', somehow the Debian package maintainer achieved the goal of building GCL in both ANSI and non-ANSI mode, and user can choose to start either mode with the same installed 'gcl' package. If the same effect can be achieved by MacPorts package, that would be best.
