port diagnose
checks for Homebrew in /usr/local (where it is located on x86_64 machines) but not /opt/homebrew (where it is located on arm64 machines).

But some projects look there deliberately, like cmake did until last week.

TBF /opt/homebrew is much less of a problem since it's not in the default compiler search paths.
