Mariadb build fails in Sonoma

Description

White trying to install mariadb 10.9, build step failed main log file attached and not fully understandable at my level. tried with versions 10.8, 10.4 with similar result

Mariadb-5.5.68 running OK on my machine but Mediawiki is asking for higher version.

Platform is iMac Retina5K, 27" 2020.

The log shows the error is:
