Description
- Need update to latest stable version. Current port is very old and broken on all OS versions.
- Upstream appears to be in robust current maintenance as of 2024 August.
- Try to remove broken dependency openni, not maintained upstream for more than 10 years.

Ok, I can commit a bump to 1.14, but would you test the Portfile? The VTK dependency is a big no-go for me, unless it can be waived, too, or rendered optional.

I'd like to add a vote for this.
It would be useful to be practical instead of trying to include all features, meaning: remove openni; don't enforce installing vtk with a non-default variant (+qt5).
I tried to update this port today but I couldn't figure out how to run tests. The PCL docs are incomplete and outdated.
