Description

Just got new M4 so did pure new macports install. OS is Sequoia 15.1.

Initially installed XQuartz.

When tried to run gnucash parts of the windows went to "black" (more likely transparency) as soon as move the pointer which seems to have been reported as XQuartz issue 31 from 2021. Please note there is no remote screen or java here - this is pure local apps - including trivial python gtk example app.

Tried all fixes mentioned in issue 31 - including trying enable_render_extension 0 - which worked for the simple python app but caused gnucash to immediately crash out with X error.

Reading the issue its not clear if XQuartz is currently updated.

So deleted and installed xorg server.

Now back to exact same error using xorg. Glxgears does seem to work.

Could not see a trac ticket for this error under xorg.

One thing I havent seen mentioned before is that if open eg vi editor in a terminal window and enter text - or indeed entering text here - the windows go back to correct non-"black" form - as soon as move pointer it flips again. Even more if have both simple app and gnucash window(s) open they all flip when I enter text and flip when move pointer.

Note that the main gnucash window account list subsection still has the correct white background - or eg the gnucash initial startup mini window has an image for most of the window which is correctly displayed - but the lower bars which display label and loading completion bar go "black".
