I get the same thing, which means gnuplot is currently not installable.
I'm not sure what happened, but this morning Aquaterm 1.0.0 magically upgraded for me.

still broken for me
Does uninstalling and reinstalling aquaterm work?
Is anybody still having a problem with this? If not, can we mark it closed?
It's been awile with no response and it can always be opened. I'll close it. Thanks for your attention to this.

Installing AquaTerm on Tiger still fails with same error message; copying the two Info.plist solves the problem. AquaTerm.app-Info.plist goes into build/AquaTerm.build/AQTFwk.build/ and AquaTerm.framework-Info.plist goes into build/AquaTerm.framework/Versions/A/Resources/.
I get the same thing, which means gnuplot is currently not installable. The fix looks like it should be trivial since it is simply a case of a misplaced Info.plist file.
This package (and hence everything that depends on it) has been broken for over 2 months now... is anyone maintaining aquaterm?
