Description
I will attach a proposed Portfile for the less pager. OS X doesn't ship the most current version, and this Portfile will install the 381 version in the darwinports base file. There is a variant (+override_system) that will force an install into /usr/bin to "update" the Apple version if desired.

The default on my proposed Portfile *doesn't* touch the system version. The system version gets overriden *if and only if* the user selects the +override-system variant.

The reason I am saying is that if the user installs with +override-system, and then decides s/he does not want it any more and does uninstall, now the system one is gone.

I agree with Waqar here, we should not touch the system. Are you fine with the portfile without that variant?

thanks for the submission, I just committed this. I added the 'install.destroot' option, so the port installs into the destroot, instead of directyl into ${prefix} -fkr
