i haven't tested the patch, but it looks good to me. however, jberry found the maven sources, and with a bit of a strange bootstrapping script, it is possible to build it from source. so my intention was to get that working by the next release, but you beat me to it. I should have a new port built soon so i'd say hold off on the patch and i'll get the updated version working.

ha, nevermind. it turns out that the latest source, the one for 2.0.4 removed the bootstrapping script. so, while the wonderful people over at apache decided to distribute sources with version 2.0.3, 2.0.4 is back to needing maven to build maven.
so, Dominik's patch looks like the way to go.
