The port seems to be missing a -I/usr/X11R6/include/freetype2,
or possibly a depends on "freetype" - depending on which is desired.

I've just submitted an update to the Portfile that adds explicit dependencies on Xft2, fontconfig and freetype (see Trac ticket #12556). Sorry for the delay in addressing this problem; I missed it when it was first submitted and only saw it when nox and afb posted their comments.
