SWI-Prolog hangs on configure

Description

When installing swi-prolog on either my PPC G5 or my intel MacBook in either 10.4 or 10.5, swi-prolog hangs after downloading all dependencies at the configuration step (for the swi-prolog package itself). Cpu shows heavy usage, and even after an overnight wait it is still hanging. Symptom occurs on all the setups I mentioned, with clean macports installs on both systems. Oddly, when installing prolog via binary from the official swiprolog site (which was created using macports, go figure) prolog works fine. This works as a temp. workaround, except that the package from swi-prolog.org is not recognized as being part of the macports system, and therefore its installed dependancies cause other macports installations requiring the same dependencies to fail (binary is not part of the macports system, and therefore cannot be activated).... Quite irritating.
