Here is the command line with default options:
sudo port install py-pyrex ---> Fetching py-pyrex ---> Attempting to fetch Pyrex-0.9.5.1a.tar.gz from http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/~greg/python/Pyrex/ ---> Attempting to fetch Pyrex-0.9.5.1a.tar.gz from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/distfiles/py-pyrex ---> Attempting to fetch Pyrex-0.9.5.1a.tar.gz from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/distfiles/general/ ---> Attempting to fetch Pyrex-0.9.5.1a.tar.gz from http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/downloads/py-pyrex Error: Target org.macports.fetch returned: fetch failed Error: Status 1 encountered during processing.

I can't reproduce this. It shouldn't be able to happen unless you're using the old version of the portfile.
