Gail no longer exists, as it has been integrated into gtk2. Is your gtk2 updated to the latest version (2.14.3)?
yes, gtk2 2.14.3_3+x11

Rechecked paths and still got this. checking for TESTS... configure: error: Package requirements (
libbonobo-2.0 >= 1.107.0 atk >= 1.17.0 gtk+-2.0 >= 2.10.0 gail >= 1.9.0
) were not met:

I can't reproduce this with MacPorts 1.6.0 and OS 10.5.5, the at-spi port builds fine. Do you have /opt/local/lib/pkgconfig/gail.pc
?

no such file.

Tryed istalling the lib manually, missing gail. I guess I could install from the source? will this work?

Also, sync command was not working, now I got it to work.

Well, on my system:
% port provides /opt/local/lib/pkgconfig/gail.pc /opt/local/lib/pkgconfig/gail.pc is provided by: gtk2
So I'll bounce this over to gtk2's maintainer.

I installed it manually but got this now. checking for PYGOBJECT... configure: error: Package requirements (pygobject-2.0 >= 2.14.0) were not met:
No package 'pygobject-2.0' found
may be the rb-gnome maintainer....
Can't reproduce it either, I can only suggest you to try to reinstall gtk2
comment:14 Changed 16 years ago by nox@…
Well, I don't have a clue about what is happening on your machine, gail.pc installation is hardcoded in gtk2 Makefile. On a side note, the pygobject-2.0 not found error means you need to install py25-glib
comment:15 Changed 16 years ago by blb@…
When checking for the gtk2 version installed, it does show the 2.14.3 version as being active right? As in:
$ port installed gtk2 The following ports are currently installed: gtk2 @2.12.9_0+x11 gtk2 @2.14.3_3+x11 (active)
If an older one is active, that would be the problem.
Also, note there is no port py25-glib but py25-gobject.

Also, make sure to uninstall all gtk2 installed versions before re-installing it.
