Description
Trying to install pkgconfig as a 4-way (i386 / ppc / x86_64 / ppc64) universal binary, it stops here during configure:
checking pthread.h usability... yes checking pthread.h presence... yes checking for pthread.h... yes checking for thread implementation... posix checking for pthread_attr_init in -lpthread... yes checking necessary linker options... -lpthread checking necessary compiler options... -D_REENTRANT checking for localtime_r... yes checking for rand_r... yes checking for getpwuid_r... yes checking whether getpwuid_r is posix like... yes checking whether pthread_getspecific is posix like... yes checking whether pthread_mutex_trylock is posix like... yes
Building just a 2-way (i386 / ppc) universal binary works fine.
This is on Mac OS X 10.4.11 Intel with Xcode 2.5.
