MacPorts 1.7.1 fails under Snow Leopard

Hi, I have attempted to use MacPorts 1.7.1 on Snow Leopard build without success.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT:

Does 1.7.1 suppose to work out of the box or is there a version being target for the official release of Snow Leopard?

1.7.1 is definitely not supported for 10.6, you currently need to get a from-source install from the subversion trunk. See #19874 for 10.6 info.
