Description
On Mac OS 10.5.7, ppc G5 hardware, with brand new (empty) MacPorts 1.7.1 install.
'sudo port install gimp' hangs with no feedback.
Partial output of 'sudo port -d install gimp' is attached.

It just takes a long time in 1.7.1 to resolve all the dependencies. This will be improved in 1.8.0 (or using svn trunk now) but it may be quicker to do the install in stages like this:
