Port: | bitstream-vera |
Description
During the build a message is given as follows:
Requires modifications to /opt/local/etc/fonts/local.conf. Replacement file provided at /opt/local/share/doc/bitstream-vera/local.conf.
However:
- There is no
local.conf
in $prefix/etc/fonts
- It's not needed anyway
conf.d/60-latin.conf
already contains the necessary aliases for serif
, sans-serif
, monospace
which is all that's in the port's local.conf

I have attached an attempt at a patch to the portfile. The RELEASENOTES for the package say:
Fontconfig 2.2 adds Vera to the list of font families and will, by default use it as the default sans, serif and monospace fonts.

This also required a change to fontconfig; see #29578.
