$ port installed gccmakedep The following ports are currently installed: gccmakedep @1.0.2_0 (active) $ ls -l /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep -rwxr-xr-x 2 root admin 161K 29 Apr 18:39 /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep* $ head -n 1 /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep ?????? $ gccmakedep -bash: /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep: cannot execute binary file
I reinstalled gccmakedep, but I still have the same problem.
Thanks

Something is definitely wrong with your gccmakedep. Here is my output:
$ ls -l /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep -rwxr-xr-x 2 root admin 2031 Aug 30 2009 /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep $ head -n 1 /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep #!/bin/sh
What version of Mac OS X are you running? What version of Xcode?

What about port provides /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep
? The gccmakedep you have on your system seems to be different from the one we all have on our systems.

$ port provides /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep /opt/local/bin/gccmakedep is provided by: gccmakedep
I've never used/installed gccmakedep before. I only have it because I tried installing tightVNC. Thanks.

Ok, I remembered I had ccache enabled by default which in the past has caused me some problems building a few ports. I disabled it and built gccmakedep anew which seems to be working fine now (have no idea why). However, I still can't build tightVNC. Please see the new attached buildlog. Thanks.

This was reported before in #18392 and thought to have been fixed, but apparently not; I get the same error you do.
