Description
You can't just type port --version or port --help. I like things to work in a standardized way. I'm just saying so, I'm not really complaing. But it is about compliancy to standards, escpeccially for new users.
It has something to do with how you perceive a system.
Having said all this: I love macports!

There are already actions for this, and accepting them with double dashes prepended would require changing the whole way we parse args. Which standard requires this exactly?
